WHAT MAKES YOUR IRIS PHOTO UNIUQE
Did you know the word “iris” comes from the Greek word for rainbow?
The name was inspired by the incredible variety of colors irises can have — from deep blues and greens to warm ambers and striking mixed patterns.
Across different cultures, the iris has long been seen as a symbol of communication, wisdom, and faith. No two irises are the same, and the colors in your own eyes are shaped by how much melanin your iris contains and how that pigment is distributed.
And here’s the coolest part:
Your iris works just like a camera aperture — opening and closing to control how much light enters your eye, helping you see clearly whether it’s bright sunlight or low light.
Each iris tells a story, both scientifically and symbolically — and that’s what makes it so unique.

FAQ
What is the minimum age to get my iris photographed?
We can photograph anyone from about 5 years old and up — as long as they can comfortably keep their eyes open for 2–3 seconds.
Little ones often make the cutest iris art, but babies wiggle too much to get a sharp macro shot.
The colors in my iris photo look different from what I see in the mirror. Why?
In everyday life, your eyes are basically hiding in the shade — your brows shield them, indoor lighting is dim, and you’re never staring at your own eye under a bright, controlled light. So what you see in the mirror is only a tiny preview of your real eye color.
When we photograph your iris, we use a neutral, calibrated light source that removes shadows and reflections from the room. That lets us reveal all the tiny details and natural colors that you normally never get to see — golden rings, blues, greens, copper tones, textures… your eyes are full of surprises.
We never change your colors.
There’s zero editing of hue — we simply reveal what was already there, just hiding from everyday light.
It’s still you — just the HD, cinema version. 🎬✨
How do you protect my data?
Your iris photo is art, not a spy tool.
Our camera can’t be used for identity scanning or security systems — it simply captures the visible pattern of your eye.
(no lasers, no biometrics, no secret agent stuff)
Your images are kept private, secure, and used only to create your artwork.
Do I have to book an appointment?
Booking an appointment is recommended — it saves you time, avoids waiting, and guarantees your spot
(especially on busy days).But!
When we’re set up at fairs and events, walk-ins are always welcome.
If you see us, come say hi — we’ll fit you in whenever we can. Booking ahead just helps you skip the line and the hassle.
Can I get my pet’s iris photographed?
We love pets — but their tiny, constantly-moving pupils make proper iris photography almost impossible. Cats, dogs, birds… they all wiggle, blink, and look everywhere except the camera.
So for now, we photograph humans only (the ones who can follow directions for at least 3 seconds 😄).
If your pet ever agrees to hold still like a statue, we’ll be the first to try!
Do I need to remove contact lenses before getting my photos taken ?
No need to make a sudden move and yank them out mid-session! Your iris photos turn out much better without the lenses in. We also have solution and clean holders on-site, so you’re all covered if you’d like to remove your lenses during the shoot. Adding a drop of lubricating eye solution helps too—but only if you feel like it.
Do you deliver finished prints?
Absolutely! Once we capture your iris photos, we can ship your finished artwork anywhere in the world.
That said—shipping within the U.S. and Canada is the fastest, easiest, and most cost-friendly for everyone.
Delivery costs simply depend on where it’s going and the size of your print.
Do you store or share iris images?
Absolutely not.
We don’t sell, share, upload, or reuse your iris images — not even for marketing. The only person who ever gets your eyes… is you.
Once your artwork is created, your files are safely archived and never used again unless you request a reprint.
Is iris photography harmful for eyes?
Nope — zero risk.
We use a soft, diffused light (way gentler than a cell phone flash).
No lasers, no heat, no discomfort — just a quick bright blink and we’re done. Even sensitive eyes handle it easily.
